She is so dang funny lately, and a smarty-pants, AND a crabbby pants:)

Falling Boom
When elliott was here last, about two weeks ago, he taught emma how to fall backwards and go "whoa -oa". So we were out in the backyard on Sunday doing in this, and then the neighbors dog Elliot came over, wanting her timmy rubbed, and Em wanted hers rubbed too! Then I put my legs in the air, and she followed!!!! Then she started kicking her legs on the ground, and wanted me to follow her - CUTE!

Climbing....
Dear sweet Emma decided to follow Grandpa Loerch up the ladder, when we were playing in the yard yesterday. Don't worry Dad (!) had my hands on her all the time, but I did need some help getting her down as she was having so much fun.
I had a wonderful time going to Dance Class downtown yesterday while Em stayed with Grandma, and Grandma was so excited to have emma all on her own. So after I left in the morning they piled in to the car and headed to a Fall festival that had a petting farm. Well, Emma fell asleep on their way! And Em slept the WHOLE time I was gone!!! Oh well, I had fun:)
This last picture is yesterday when Emma put her shoes on all by herself for the first time! Can't tell though that she has them on the wrong feet. She was so proud!
Love to all...

Goofy Girl
Emma is quite the adorable handful these days!! We were ALL in the kitchen and as I was making dinner (note that Grandma and Grandpa Loerch were sitting at the table near by) I just happened to look over at Emma..... putting my mascara on her face!!!!!!!!!! She does see me do it every morning on the way to Carol's I guess, but holy crap, isn't it a bit early for this?
Then last night she was trying on her shirt - on her legs! She just ran all around the house as happy as can be. But, she isn't all smiles these days, I am afraid we are heading in to the terrible two's!!!!! She has had a few major break downs, especially today after going to the eye doctor. She had her eyes dilated so the Dr. could see if her blocked tear duck was anything worse than just that. But no, she is fine, and will need to have minor surgery in November. Anyway though, on the way home she was almost crying the whole way, and then she was literally on the floor kicking her legs and crying, burying her face in her hands byt he time we got home!

Renaissance Festival
Today was Dad's last day here, off he goes back to Monroe. Sad.. BUT, we have had a wonderful time!
Today we went to the Renaissance Festival. Emma had a BALL! She got to feed animals at the Petting Barn, eat a huge turkey leg with dad, and she met a Fairy who gave her a gift. Em was intrigues with all of the flags and dressed up women, she also got to watch dad throw tomatoes at an insult guy. Our little monkey has fun running as fast as she can away from you, and picking up rocks, and wood chips, and eating ice cream too!
So after about three hours in the heat we were ALL pooped out! No joking, the MINUTE we walked out the exit.... her eyes closed! But we were all done. Grandpa Loerch had about as much walking as he could take and Dad was HOT:)
Oh, the bottom picture is Em carrying around a giant zucchini - she is so "Frank the Tank":)

Spell Check and Raspberries
Ok, Ok, I KNOW I need to use spell-check! I just am usually in such a hurry or so gosh dang tired that I just want to get it posted. But I promise.... F7 from now on. You'll be sad though, not as many funny things to laugh about!
Here is Ms. Em, after eating some raspberries that were a little overripe. She then decided she had to run her face and her hair......
love to all, and happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has new meaning when I am teaching all week:)

dad's here!
Yeah, elliott got into town Saturday afternoon. He was so excited to see Em that he went and got her a few things - big ball, balloon, farm book, basically all of her favorite things! She had a HUGE smile for him, and really wanted nothing to do with mom all weekend long. That's OK though, the way it is supposed to be.
Yesterday we were going to go to the Reneissance Festival, and 5 minutes after we got in the car it rained! so we went to look at a few houses, then ended up at Red Lobster. em did SOOO good - and CHOWED on her mac -n- cheese.
Now Dad is in ND and Grandma and Granpa are up north for a couple of nights. So just me and the girl! Nice and quiet tonight, but lonely probably by tomorrow...
love to all...

Ugh....
Sorry it has been so long! It seems like things change quite a bit when you work 5 days a week, and an Emmrhoid goes to daycare, and you want to see her, then you are exhausted once she is in bed! And then you plan for class, and then you fall asleep at 9pm!!!!! So, sorry to the family about the lagging pictures of Emma.
You can see in this picture that she is quite unhappy when she gets things on her hands (dirt, sand, etc.)!!!
Funny em story - when Carol went in to check on Emma the other day, because she had fussed a little when she put her down - she found emma SOUND ASLEEP SITTING UP in her crib! Isn't that hilarious?
And our little lovebug has adjusted well to daycare life. As a matter of fact she has taken to going into Carol's arms as soon as we walk in the door. Then she immediately waves goodbye to me! this morning I guess, she didn't even want to watch me drive away, but instead was pulling Carol by the toys!!! Then, when I went to pick her up she didn't want to leave! She wanted to be by Carola nd the kids on the couch - ha ha! Silly girl. It makes me feel wonderful knowing that she is so happy there, in all honesty. No feelings hurt here.
I guess that is all I can think at the moment. Love to all....

Grandpa and Em
Grandpa, Emma, and me. See! She will sit next to Grandpa! As a matter of fact she was having him read to her by the end of the day - go Emma! Even though she had only napped for HALF AND HOUR, she made until we left at 5pm. She did however fall asleep about 5 minutes after we got in the car, literally.
If you always read this blog, make sure you scroll down to see more pictures. For some reason I am only able to upload one picture at at time these days....
happy weekend to all..

Cowgirl...
Em's grandpa Hinrichs got her Cowgirl boots at the State Fair (we want her to be a cowgirl for Halloween and then put a saddle on Cooper!!!!). When she first put them on she danced ALL around the kitchen! Then yesterday I asked her if she wanted to put on her Cowboy boots...... and she went "Mooooo" Pretty dang cute, huh?

Horsey
More from the Fair
Emma giving Grandpa some of her tasty ice and water! half of which she got on herself....
Today Emma said her own "I love you" to me! She repeated it when I said it to her... Mamma almost cried! She also signed and said the word "more" for the first time without being prompted. AND when she walked into the house this afternoon she saw the picture that we had taken with her, me, and el, at the fair, and she pointed at El's picture. Too cute....
Poor Cooper had a TERRIBLE time with us being gone. He lost over 25 lbs, and Elliott had to take him into the emergency room last night when he got home. Thank goodness he is FINALLY eating tonight. Talk about separation anxiety!!!!! So, we are going to have to kennel him the next time, I guess.
Love to all...

State Fair
Em petting the sheep at the "Miracle of Birth Center" at the State Fair..... In another picture she is CHEWING in the fence, yup, the same pen where the mama and baby sheep are living is where emma is chewing:) Lovely...
We had a wonderful time at the Fair - once Elliott got over the heat and the peopl, and Emma was able to fall asleep.
We got there about 10:30 am, emma FINALLY Fell asleep at about 2:30. And would you believe that she fell asleep in the poultry barn, with the Rooster's crowing and the chickens peeping. It was funny. She sure did fight it for a LONG time though. We also got her to "moooo". Imagine 4 adults stnading around a stroller going "mooo", none to quite, over and over again, as she repeats it - crazy!
So we had a wonderful time with Nana and Grandpa Hinrichs (we think Grandpa is going to work just fine, as by sunday she knew that was his name:)) We ate a TON of food, and didn't end up leaving until 6:15pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elliott did mention the work "next year" though, so I think we have a convert.
Somehow I am only able to post one picture, so there are more above.... Love to all....
