Looking for Elmo

Emma was playing with her Winnie the Pooh computer just now, and kept saying that she was looking for Elmo.  I told her, Oh honey that is just your Pooh one.....  Then I realized she was looking to find Elmo on Youtube, like her dad does for her!!!!!!  CUTE!  Then said said "Oh shoot, no Papa and Nana" Who we sometimes do video conferences with on the computer!

Em had a sleepover at Mama and Papa Loerch's last night and Elliott and I got to go to a MOVIE!!!  Yeah for grown-up time:)  Thank you!

Emma has been TORMENTING Tommy lately! She simply WILL NOT leave him alone! She picks him up and says "stay in the kitchen Tommy", "No Tommy, don't go there", "Sit in my lap Tommy"..... And on and on and on. Last night she figured out she could put him in her baby bed...

Baby has to do EVERYTHING with her, and try everything she does. She has to watch Elmo, "See baby?" she asks. Baby even had to try and hold the Pansy that she pulled, and turn the pages in the book, and brush her hair, and on and on and on:)

What does a 26 month old eat?

You might ask, what would your average "just two" year old eat? Well, tonight it was the following light fare:

1 piece of pepperoni pizza
15 raspberries
1/2 a small avocado
a cup of milk

Hot Goon

This is a Goon-y picture of Emma on the 97 degree day! She was so hot she just went over to Cooper's bed and laid down - and stayed there! Sometimes she is so goofy lookin' :)

Cute story.... She was in bed last night and I heard all of this noise like a bag being rustled around. I went in to check on her and she had ALL (20ish) of her diapers in bed with her! I took them all out and she was so disappointed... So I went to check on her, like I always do before I go to bed, and she was sound asleep with the WHOLE EMPTY BOX of diapers ON her!!!!

97 and windy....

Summer BLEW in full force! 94 with 30mph winds today!!!!!

Emma got to wear a sundress yesterday. You can see her digging into the bag of blueberry muffins before we left for Grandma Loerch's in the morning.

The final picture is me and Emma getting ready to go out to the park this afternoon, in our matching sunglasses:) However, she was in NO mood to smile and we were lucky that she would even look at Daddy with the camera!

Mother's Day

I had a WONDERFUL Mother's day! The best so far.... Emma, my Mom and I all went to the Farmer's Market in Minneapolis. We all shared breakfast as we walked, and I bought a beautiful hanging basket for our deck. Emma was a handful towards the end, and she fell asleep in the car at 11:30 on the way home!!!!!! Her normal nap time is 1:30!!!!
Then Auntie Becca, Uncle Chris, and Elliott came over to Grandma and Grandpa Loerch's and we had a nice brunch out on the deck (even though it was a little cold!). THEN I got my Mother's day gift..... a Bike Buggy!!!!! I am so excited.... And you can see that Elliott and Emma really like it too. As a matter of fact Emma would rather have her Dad drive because he is way more fun - makes noises and takes her over bumps and stuff:) It was a lovely day - thanks everyone!

Cute story.... Em and I were out walking yesterday and we saw an airplane (an every few minutes occurrence here) and as it got farther away I said "Oh, can you still see it?" Her reply was "Shoot, no"!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I was putting Emma to bed and she asked me to sing her ABC's, but I said no, "Mommy only sings night-night songs, Lullaby or Sunshine" and she said "Daddy does that" Meaning that Daddy would sing her the ABC's!!!!!!!

Bathroom Fun!

Ok, sorry about all the details, but this is what happens when you have a 2 year old:) She went "poopy on the potty" today! AND she told us in the middle of playing after her bath that she had to "potty" and walked in tot he bathroom and went "pee in the potty"!!!! That was the second time in a row - once before the bath and once after.... We are on a role:)

The first picture..... She was trying to pee yesterday and I said maybe we should read a book, and here she comes around the corner (Frank the Tank) with her WHOLE BOX OF BOOKS!!!

And in the final pictures she is practicing fishing with Daddy..... Getting ready for Fish Trap Lake in June.

I Heart Garage Sales

Emma and I were on the way to the grocery store yesterday and we drove past a garage sale 7 houses down from ours. There was a PERFECT "little tykes" slide in the driveway!!!! $15.... WE (yes, we) were so excited! We called Dad to drive the truck down and pick it up to take home. We had wanted to maybe get her a play cottage or something for her birthday, but hey are so pricey, so this is just perfect!!!!! And she is IN LOVE. She looked at me when I was getting her out of bed this morning and she said "slide on my tummy". She was barely awake! So we were out on the deck with our jackets on at 7:15 am:)

I'll get the mom's day pictures up tomorrow (they are on my mom's camera). It was a WONDERFUL day.....

Cute story.... yesterday during one of my many attempts to get her to take a nap (which is usually not a fight AT ALL!), I was holding her and trying to sing. She grabbed my cheeks in between her hands and said "listen to me"..... Then she got in real close and put her nose to my nose, a sweet smile came on her face and she said, "mommy, shush, listen to me..." It was SO CUTE!!!!! i wonder do I say that to her???

Emma got a new chair at Target yesterday (she LOVES chairs!), so here she is sitting in it out on our deck.... Dang cute!

I was fixing lunch and I looked over and noticed she was lying down - come to find out she was lying on Tommy. Then a few minutes later he had escaped, but she captured him and put her head on him to read her books. She is determined that she is going to carry him lately, and she can pick him up, but not very well and I am waiting for her to choke him. So I have said no more picking up Tommy (I found her pulling his tail and then the skin on his chin) because he is way too old to have to deal with that. Needless to say Emma had 4 time outs this morning! Every time when she way done she told me "don't pick up Tommy anymore".... We'll see:)

Emma had her first "big girl" birthday party yesterday, for one of the girls from daycare. It was at a park and Emma went right up to Draea to give her the birthday gift - cute! I spent most of the time chasing her, and playing on the HUGE wooden play structure. But we had fun and were TIRED.... She and Elliott have both had colds for weeks now - Emma's means huge snot sneezes - always fun:)
