Pee-Pee in the Potty!

Em was getting ready for a bath last night - running around naked. I caught her in the bedroom looking down like "uh - oh no" and there was a tiny bit o' pee... I said, "oh, should we go sit on the potty?" She said "yes" and the rest is history!!!!!! So, FIRST step, although I am not counting on REAL potty training until the summer....

Giant Dog Breaks Gate

Cooper was running down the stairs and ran in to the gate, BREAKING off the screws!!!

So Papa and Mama Loerch came over for dinner, and then Emma and Papa fixed the gate! She is QUITE the helper - taking all the nails in and out of their container, emptying all of the drill bits, opening and closing the tool box, putting srews all over the gate.....

Oh sweet Emma.... She is gaining new vocabulary like a little sponge! And tonight she started "reading" Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See! She sat down with the book and said the words (obviously not along with every page), because she remembers them from us reading it so much. I got the video camera out:)

She is also trying new "moves"... You'll notice her HEEL-STRETCH!

Easter 2

Sorry it took so long to get these up! El was out of town this week and it seems I was ALWAYS busy!

Easter Sunday 1

We got Emma an Easter Basket for this morning, and go figure that she was really only interested in the suckers and $1 store wind-up chicken!!!!!

We met Papa and Mama Loerch at Church, and Em spent about half the time with us and half in the nursery.  It went well...  you see her CUTE (this is her new word for clothes!!!!!!!!  crap, we're in trouble) Easter Dress and pink patent shoes.  Poor girl though, woke-up with a cold (the FIRST ALL YEAR!) and has been sneezing boogers all day, which goes great with an Easte

r Dress.

After church Em opened her Easter basket from Papa and Mama Loerch, and then went on a Easter Egg hunt (thanks to Auntie Becca and Uncle Chris for "hiding" the eggs!)....  i'll post those pictures tomorrow...

2x Easter Eggs!!

Lucky girl got to make Easter Eggs twice today! Once with Daddy and then later with Grandma (Mama) Loerch. She had a blast both times and really gotten the hang of getting the eggs out the second time around.

I love to look on her face in the second picture - totally her Uncle Justin!

Dad decided to break out the hair dryer so we could get stickers on the eggs faster!

2 Year Check-Up

Em had her 2 year check-up today... 33.4 lbs (95th percentile) and 36 1/4 inches (97th percentile)... The reign of Frank-the-Tank continues:) The Dr. went well, except for we had a new lady who was giving the immunizations (poor thing did not do well) and on the second one Emma moved and the needle stayed in Emma's leg and the syringe came unattached and part of the vaccine dripped out and Emma was CRYING (which she did not do after the first one! Strong girl:))..... Anyway, that was not good, but she was done crying in about a minute...

So for lunch Emma had..... a yogurt stick, a milk, a half peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, a half large cup of chicken and rice soup, and a bag of kettle chips..... GROWING girl.... For dinner, 7 strawberries:)

Have Magazine, Will Potty

So, I guess she's seen her Dad in the bathroom one too many times......  Yesterday she insisted on looking at "Car and Driver" while sitting on the potty!  Enough said....

Spring Outing

We took Emma on a spring outing yesterday (today we are getting a blizzard!!!!!!!!!!).  We went to a tiny petting zoo at a local garden store.  Emma loved the bunnies but was seriously scared of the loud "baa- aaa"ing goat and lamb!  She wouldn't go near them and even hid behind me!

We went to lunch with Papa and Mama Loerch, then to the YMCA for an Easter Egg Hunt (which was more like an egg grab but that's ok).  Emma just wanted to throw the eggs!  Like a ball, until the last two she finally got that we could put them in the bag and keep them!  She enjoyed eating the candy, as she has s sweet tooth like her Mommy.  The BEST part was the "big bunny" as she called it.  She was ENAMORED with the Easter Bunny!!!!!  Even me and Mama had to take our turns hugging the bunny!  And she jumped and danced and clapped for the bunny, took about 6 visits over to her.  It was cute....

Cute side note....  Emma came up and smelled my butt today and said "poopy mommy, pee-you"!!!!!!!!  I said, "oh, that's how mommy checks if you have a dirty diaper, huh?"  she agreed!!!!!!

New Outfit

The many stages of Emma, getting dressed in her new outfit from Papa and Nana Hinrichs!  She looked so grown-up once she had it all put together.  You can see she was NOT a fan of me taking her picture once she got the jacket on:)  And of course, she is in her car, newly named "Yellow"....

I asked her yesterday what she wanted to name her new baby, and she replied, "Um..... abcdefg"!!!!

Double Birthday's!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my , oh my!!!!  We had a big day here yesterday....  Elliott and Emma's birthday celebration!!!

There are so many pictures I didn't even get close to all I wanted to put on here... No pics of Auntie Becca or Uncle Chris, or Grandma and Grandpa Loerch, or Great-Grandma...  But more to come:)

We had a great day - Emma is so lucky to get so many wonderful gifts!!!!!  The "cozy coupe" was definitely her favorite.  She got a new baby, among so many other great things (a bathtub to put baby in! a crib for baby, a vacuum, a cute jacket from Papa and Nana, on and on and on)

Em made her Daddy an "Emma-n-Daddy's Rainy Day Mooooola" Bank!!!!!
