In January we thought we were going to find Bali a new home - I'd had enough of her puppiness, the hair - everywhere! The rambunctious extra body in the house - ugh! So, this cute pic was before I hauled Bali off to a friends house - she fought with the other dog - and so I hauled her back home. Here she sits next to me while I write this post...
Emma reading to Olive - love this! One of my favorite things is watching the two of them play together. The other night Elliott was with the girls, he ran upstairs to get some wipes, and by the time he got back downstairs EMMA HAD CHANGED OLIVE'S DIAPER ON HER OWN!
Olive is such a climber - all the time - everywhere! I found her standing on the window sill the other day (thinking I may need to get some sort of barrier for the windows this summer?!!!!).
All dressed-up with nowhere to go! Emma's favorite past time is playing dress-up and pretend. In general, she prefers to have a dress on, while digging in the mud:)
The girls sitting at the front door waiting for Emma to get home from school.
Happy Birthday Grandma Loerch!
My mom planned a special tea for all of us girls at her house a weekend in January. We all got dressed up, she set the table all fancy, she planned a menu, spent days making little tea sandwiches and desserts. It was such a lovely morning!
In the picture above my mom is explaining to Emma that indeed my mom would do all the serving and taking care of our needs (Emma was ready to serve us all morning!).
Yes, she has a little lipstick on...
Olive enjoying the tea sandwiches - a lot!
Nummy desserts!
Olive must have been goring through a growth spurt in February. It seemed that at every turn she was falling asleep in the car, in the store, at the ice rink - and I could not wake her up for all I was worth! Above she is at Target, about 11am.
Sound asleep on the floor at Emma's ice skating lessons!!!!
Trying on sister's new clothes
Practicing for Martha Graham's Lamentation
Asleep on the cart at Costco
This is how we roll at the Patterson's - we pull out the leopard print for a quick trip to Target!
Sister love. I love watching Olive follow her big sister and learn from her in so many ways.
Again, asleep in the restaurant. This one was tricky to wake her up from!
Hummus.... not just for breakfast anymore! Our littlest one loves hummus - by the spoonful - for breakfast!!!!

Emma looks like such a princess at the top of the stairs with no where to go! Olive is so funny - I laughed at the pics of her asleep everywhere, so adorable.
Your mom's tea party sounded so fun! How memorable.
wow what beautiful pictures!! Emma looked so very beautiful--has she worn her purple dress that I got her for her birthday?? Loved the tea party. thanks for the blog I appreciate it so much--it's funny seeing little Olive sleeping everywhere. Isn't fun watching your children interact with each other? Emma is amazing with Olive. I' so happy you didn't give up on Bali--she is beautiful and yet I know it's a lot of extra work for you--hopefully Emma can help with that. Love to all.
