I can't believe it has taken me ALL summer to get these posted! These are the last from our trip to Michigan - good lord! Somehow we/I got SOOOO busy this summer that I just did not or could not get a thing done....
So, here we finally are at my Dad and JAckie's for the 4th of July weekend. They have a pond in their backyard and someone has put fish in it over the years, so we spent a good portion of our evenings there! Emma LOVES worms - digging for them, holding them, stretching them...

On Saturday the 3rd of July we all went Lake Michigan -ALL of Jackie's family and us. Emma was in heaven with all the big girls around. And the goofball found the BEST way to keep warm right away - she would go run and lay down in the sand - covering her whole body!!!!! Like a dog....
And of course one must CARRY sand in the top of their swimsuit - just in case they cannot find more
You can't tell from this pic, but the waves were HUGE! We felt like we were at the ocean, water as far as the eye could see, it was clean and clear, and huge waves! A bit chilly at first, but it was a HOT day and the sand was HOT HOT HOT, too

Buried in the sand! How cute is she in that hat? I couldn't keep sun lotion on her hair part and it was bright red so we went with the hat!
That evening we all went back to dad's and had a gigantic family sleepover... Emma learned about Lightning bugs, which were all over at dad's!
