Daddy/Daughter Birthday!

Elliott and Emma's Birthday fell on Sunday the 31, Easter this year.  So, we celebrated Emma's birthday on Saturday the 30th.  I took Emma to Gymnastics and when we got home Elliott had her new bike waiting to surprise her on the counter.  I LOVE the look on her face!  Classic!  She was very surprised and very excited.  She has grown about 5 inches this year, seriously, we have it measured in our pantry, so she was in need of a new 20 inch bike any way!

After Emma's total engrossment holding the reptiles in SLC last summer, I was certain she would love a reptile birthday party!  There is a local reptile zoo, run be former caretakers from the Disney Animal Kingdom Park, and they do birthdays at your house.  It was fantastic!  My mom made this amazing, adorable, and tasty snake cup-cake.

The reptile handler started with a red-eyed tree frog - she was entranced!
The Birthday Girl got to feed the box turtle a banana
He asked Emma if she wanted to wear the "necklace - snake" and of course she said yes!  I believe it was a corn snake.
Love this girl.
Emma sitting up front with all of the boys she invited to the party!  The boy she is sitting right next to in the blue shorts is her crush, Carter, who she played soccer with this fall.  He is about half her size!  Sorry Emma, the story of our life girl!
The big finale was the 7 foot Burmese Python!  Emma was fearless!
They tried to line all the kids up to hold it, but it was really heavy!
Each child had the opportunity to the hold the young alligator.  I took pictures of each and then emailed it to each parent.
Emma with her girl friends!  Love those joyous smiles!  It was a really fantastic day.  We loved having the party at our house for a change, with plenty of room to run in the basement.  And really, we would do the retile party again too - I highly recommend it to anyone!
The best Easter picture we could get.  Just pleased we are all in it:)
Olive Grace in all her sweetness.  Notice the bruise on her cheek?  I swear she has fallen more in 1 1/2 years than Emma ever has!  She is a climber - always up high on something!
Emma and I got Elliott a bike for his birthday....
This is his face when he realized that now him and Em could ride bikes together!
Olive LOVES wearing Emma's winter hats - always around the house.  I am certain she is saying "cheese"  in this photo, there just happens to be food in her mouth:)

Bye for now....
