Happy Halloween!

A couple of weekends ago Papa Jim came out from Michigan! Emma ran up to give him a huge hug - that never gets old. Great Grandma Dorothy and Aunt Judy also came over for the day. Below Emma and Papa are starting a Halloween Haunted House - gotta love Target!

Celebrating Aunt Judy's birthday with Apple Crisp

Tom Tom.... Old man is still kickin' :)

Emma found some water color paints that we had for her, and enjoyed her first experience with them. Maybe a good Christmas gift from Santa?!

This is how Emma enjoyed carving pumpkins.... drinking warm apple cider:) She didn't like the "guts", literally said "Oooohhh, gross!" I didn't get over the goop until just a couple of years ago. Sweet Daddy set out to make the spider web that Emma really wanted. I did three pumpkins in the the time it took for him to get that one crazy one done! You can see below though that it was well worth it!

I went to Saver's the other day and got Emma a couple of dresses for "dress-up play" and she just loves them! It is fun to see her explore her imagination in so many different ways.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Emma Krumbee's Apple Orchard

We went to Emma Krumbee's for the third year in a row, this past weekend. It was HOT - 80's by the time the sun came out - but we had a lovely time!

You notice in the picture above that Elliott is in the air, but Emma isn't - that can only mean one thing.... Emma face-planted it! She was OK though

Singing and dancing - her two favorite things. She will sing all day long, in the back of the car, in the living room - anywhere! And she makes up songs too, or will sing different words to a well known song. I love to hear and see her learning that way!

Riding the camel... Nick!

Dancing with her FAVORITE baby - the 25cent one that is naked with crazy hair from a garage sale! She is so cute with her babies - cares for them, kisses them goodnight and says "don't let the bed bugs bite"
So obviously the reason we went to the apple orchard was to pick apples.... no such luck! they were DONE picking for the season (when I called on Thursday that was not the case!). Of course, thankfully Elliott is all too comfortable taking matters in to his own hands. We found a ladder out in the Orchard and our little girls was as happy as a lark!

Stomping on the rotten ones...

So sweet - and so independent. She wants and needs to do every little thing on her own, like carrying the apples, or deciding who will carry them!
BEST FRIENDS

Apparently you are supposed to enter the pumpkin patch somewhere other than from the orchard - Elliott again didn't hesitate to take matters into his own hands:)

Somehow Emma got it in to her head that she needed to line all the pumpkins up!!!!! She is so dang strong..

On the way out of town Elliott stopped at a Farm Distributor that he had promised Em would stop at, on our way in!
They walked around and Elliott of course even lifted her in to one!!!!
We had a great time, and are looking forward to a full couple of weeks. Our ten year anniversary is this Thursday, the 14th - can't believe it! Next week we are going back to the same park where we had our wedding pictures taken and having family photos taken!!!!! We have never had anything done professionally since our wedding, so I am really excited.
Emma and I drove past the park the other morning to make sure the leaves would still be turning and I told her that is where mommy and daddy went on the day we got married. She said, "mommy, am I married?" "I said no" and she said "Well, who am I then?????" SO CUTE!!!
Love to all...

Emma Lately....

It is rare that we get a good photo of Em and I together (I think she was picking her nose in the last one!) Emma has been asking about the coin machine at the bank lately. So the other day I suggested we take her change in, and then she could go and choose something that she wanted with the money. I figured she might have ten dollars or something.... nope..... $31!!!!! Upon much conversation she decided she wanted to get her baby a new bed. The one she has breaks and the legs fall off it all the time!

Once we got to Target she found a baby swing and a Pram (a more European type of stroller where the baby faces the person pushing it) and that was it - she was over the bed:)
Emma, Daddy, and her booty from Target!

Silly Emma in what she calls "leg warmers" - our socks pulled up high! Jumping on one of her favorite toys - her old crib mattress!

Um, she has seen her Daddy playing a video game or two, I guess! She was trying to play a game that came with the old X-Box, it was not working so well!

1940's Farm in Eagan

Finally I am back - after a month?!!!! Sorry it took so long, I have been terribly busy and overwhelmed a bit too.... But here we are. And no, I don't know how to get this UN-underlined!
Em and I went with my mom to an old farm in Eagan a couple of weekends ago. It was a beautiful fall day, and we had a nice time. Emma enjoyed taking faux eggs out of a faux hen house! She did however enjoy riding a REAL pony, named Spanky:) She is becoming quite the horseman, and they people with the horses do Birthday Parties! We'll see:)

Emma searching for coins in the hay.... At first she didn't understand what was happening, but one she got the hang of it she was throwing hay everywhere! Poor girl was quite upset though when she didn't find any nickels.
